Remembering the old London office

We used to have an office near Liverpool Street Station. Now, we're getting a brand new one at St Katharine Docks (yes, that's how you spell it - really!), near Tower Bridge. It's going to be great!

Here are a few pictures from the old office, where Sofia took him back in September:

Lenny yn chyfarchion o Gymru

Whenever our retired friend David B comes into the office, you'll see Lenny (and indeed all of his friends) perk up, because he knows that means he's going to a brand new adventure! For instance, going on a trek in Wales ...

Here's the photo album for Lenny's last trip there:

Lenny at the PISF

In September, Salma and Richard H went to the Pharmaceutical Industry Security Forum in Loughborough - and they took Lenny with them!

If you want to meet Lenny in person, he's going to be at the BCM World Conference at Olympia in London, 9-10 November. That's right, next week! He'll be at stand 12 along with some of his friends from LINK.

Lenny prepares for Halloween

On Monday, it's Halloween. Halloween originates in an old Celtic holiday called Samhain, which is celebrated today by Pagans, mainly. Lenny doesn't claim to be one of those, but he does like to dress up and go trick-or-treating. Here are some of his attempts at finding the perfect costume ...

Which outfit do you think he should wear on Monday?

Lenny's action-packed Welsh adventures

The great thing about having such a big extended family (so to speak) as Lenny does, is that they can take him on all sorts of adventures. For instance, Jean's son took him climbing up Snowdon in August:

And back in June, he went kayaking in Anglesey with Pete:

He's a busy li'l fellow, that Lenny!

Lenny in Bakewell and at Haddon Hall

Previously, Lenny has been in Derbyshire's beautiful Matlock Bath, and Bakewell isn't far away from there. He accompanied Sofia on a trip to see the new Jane Eyre adaptation at Haddon Hall and stopped by Bakewell to sample both the famous Bakewell tart and the not-as-famous Bakewell pudding. Both went down extremely well, which was just as well, because apparently, period dramas aren't his thing. Or maybe he just prefers Austen over Brontë?

All bricked up at Legoland

Marie and her boys took Lenny along to Legoland Windsor in September, and he hasn't stopped begging us for some Lego to play with ever since! "We could build me my very own house!" he keeps saying. "And can we build Mount Rushmore as well, but with my face?" Sadly, none of us are quite that skilled with little plastic bricks, Lenny ...

Oh man, Lenny in Oman!

A few months ago, Lenny had a run-in with both camels and a sandstorm when he visited Oman with Martin W and Steve M. He says he's fine and he's determined to go back there - if anyone will let him. Looks nice and sunny, though, doesn't it?

Remembering sunny Egypt

As the days grow shorter and shorter - in fact, today's the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equally long - we like to think back on the summer that's just gone past, and what we did then. When it comes to Lenny, his summer holidays were spent in far sunnier climes than ol' Blighty. He went to Egypt with Jean, and he came back a slightly darker shade of blue from all that swimming in the sun!

Holidaying in the Algarve

We have an important announcement to make - Lenny has found a soul mate. She's called Lenora. Together, they went on holiday in Portugal, courtesy of Martin W. Doesn't it look fabulous?

Vacances français de Lenny

Back in July, Lenny was busy tending to the sheep in France. When he wasn't busy sailing and studying rainbows, that is! Looks like a really relaxing trip and he has been entertaining us with tales of his new-found sheep shearing skills ever since. Or, as he likes to say: "Je peux tondre les moutons, moi!"

Lenny and the Chocolate Factory

Lenny was so excited when he found out Jean was taking him to Birmingham. He thought they were going to go shopping at the Bullring, so imagine the look on his face when he found out that they were in fact going to a chocolate factory - Cadbury's World!

Lenny at Elvaston Castle

Marie and her hubby brought Lenny along with them for a stroll at Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire over the last bank holiday. Have a look at these photos - doesn't it look like a great day out?

¡Hola! ¡Me llamo Lenny!

Lenny recently travelled to Madrid with Martin H. He was in the Spanish capital city to run a Crisis Leader training course. A mix of scenario play and presentations helped the executives understand how to prepare and respond to unexpected and escalating situations. Operational and people impacts blended with legal and reputation challenges.

Lenny goes to Cornwall for the April holidays

Lenny went to the north coast of Cornwall for a few days with Jean after Easter to stay at Doyden House, near Port Isaac.

This was the view from his bedroom of Doyden Castle:

He went to Boscastle to see how the tiny village and harbour had been re-built following the tragic floods in August of 2004.

As you well know, Lenny loves swimming and here he is at the water’s edge at Trebarwith Strand. He was a little bit frightened by the waves though!

He then visited Padstow to see the boats in the harbour (he thought he might get to swim there as well!).

Instead he went for a cup of tea to the famous Rick Stein’s café!

His last visit was to The Eden Project for a quieter and more tranquil day amongst the Tropical Rain Forest and the Mediterranean Biomes (the world’s largest greenhouse!).

Lenny on board Bluenote

After a hard day at the office, I quite fancied taking myself for a chug down the Trent and Mersey with Charlie. This would have been great - being my maiden voyage ... However I left it a tad late ... and had to settle for a Titanic pose instead!

"I'm the KING OF THE WORLD!!!"

Jean brings Lenny to Matlock Bath

Lenny spent a lovely sunny Sunday evening in Matlock Bath. Having visited the amusement arcade and lost all his money, he then wanted to cool off in the river. However, because the railings were so high I (Jean) managed to persuade him that eating freshly cooked fish and chips would be a better option. He enjoyed them immensely!

Lenny and Salma visit Warwickshire

Lenny and I (Salma) recently made a trip to the Barceló Walton Hall Hotel in Warwickshire. This was part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme in which I am involved with Nottingham Trent University and LINK Associates International.

Lenny was pleased to be part of the week long KTP residential course. It was our first opportunity to meet other KTP associates. I have to admit, I was dreading it a little bit being sent all the way to Warwickshire with a load of strangers for a week. I was expecting it to be a bit like Big Brother, minus the cameras (except for the Presentations Skills bit!).

In actual fact I met some really great people, had loads of fun, ate a ridiculous amount of food, and of course learned a lot about management! Lenny and I were able to bond and share our initial experiences with the other associates and this also allowed everyone to talk about their personal development and courses that they intend to undertake.

The sun came out on the last day so Lenny decided to sun bathe on the tree!
