Lenny prepares for Halloween

On Monday, it's Halloween. Halloween originates in an old Celtic holiday called Samhain, which is celebrated today by Pagans, mainly. Lenny doesn't claim to be one of those, but he does like to dress up and go trick-or-treating. Here are some of his attempts at finding the perfect costume ...

Lenny's action-packed Welsh adventures

The great thing about having such a big extended family (so to speak) as Lenny does, is that they can take him on all sorts of adventures. For instance, Jean's son took him climbing up Snowdon in August:



And back in June, he went kayaking in Anglesey with Pete:

Lenny in Bakewell and at Haddon Hall

Previously, Lenny has been in Derbyshire's beautiful Matlock Bath, and Bakewell isn't far away from there. He accompanied Sofia on a trip to see the new Jane Eyre adaptation at Haddon Hall and stopped by Bakewell to sample both the famous Bakewell tart and the not-as-famous Bakewell pudding. Both went down extremely well, which was just as well, because apparently, period dramas aren't his thing. Or maybe he just prefers Austen over Brontë?

All bricked up at Legoland

Marie and her boys took Lenny along to Legoland Windsor in September, and he hasn't stopped begging us for some Lego to play with ever since! "We could build me my very own house!" he keeps saying. "And can we build Mount Rushmore as well, but with my face?" Sadly, none of us are quite that skilled with little plastic bricks, Lenny ...

Oh man, Lenny in Oman!

A few months ago, Lenny had a run-in with both camels and a sandstorm when he visited Oman with Martin W and Steve M. He says he's fine and he's determined to go back there - if anyone will let him. Looks nice and sunny, though, doesn't it?

Remembering sunny Egypt

As the days grow shorter and shorter - in fact, today's the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equally long - we like to think back on the summer that's just gone past, and what we did then. When it comes to Lenny, his summer holidays were spent in far sunnier climes than ol' Blighty. He went to Egypt with Jean, and he came back a slightly darker shade of blue from all that swimming in the sun!

Holidaying in the Algarve
